Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated
This policy forms part of our Terms of Use and applies to everyone who uses the Brandmasters GTM platform, operated by Brandmasters Media.
Outbound is a shared-reputation business. One careless sender damages inboxes, domains and trust for everyone, including themselves. This policy exists so that does not happen here.
The standard we hold
Every account worked through the Platform should be one a reasonable person would accept being contacted about: relevant to their role, based on something real, and easy to stop.
Outreach rules
You must:
- have a lawful basis to contact each recipient, and be able to show what it is;
- identify yourself and your company truthfully in every message, with a sending identity that belongs to you;
- write subject lines that describe the message honestly;
- give a working way to opt out, and honour it everywhere, permanently, across both channels;
- process deletion and correction requests you receive, and pass on any you cannot handle;
- respect the sending limits, warm-up schedules and volume guidance we set for your domains.
You must not:
- contact anyone who has opted out, unsubscribed, bounced hard, or asked to be left alone;
- use a false, borrowed or misleading sender name, reply address or domain;
- send to addresses you obtained without the right to use them, including harvested, scraped or dictionary-generated addresses;
- upload a purchased list you have no lawful basis to contact;
- disguise the commercial nature of a message, or imply a prior relationship that does not exist;
- contact people in a market whose rules you have not checked.
Data rules
The Platform is built so it cannot use a LinkedIn login, LinkedIn cookies, browser extensions or scraping tools, and you must not attempt to feed it data obtained that way.
Do not upload special category data — health, biometrics, race or ethnicity, religion, political opinions, trade union membership, sex life or sexual orientation — or government identifiers, payment card numbers or credentials. The Platform is not designed to hold them.
Do not upload personal data about consumers in a personal capacity. This is a business-to-business tool.
Content rules
Do not use the Platform to send anything that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone's intellectual property. Do not send malware, phishing content or links designed to deceive. Do not promote regulated products or services you are not authorised to promote.
Do not target minors, and do not target anyone on the basis of a special category listed above.
Technical rules
Do not share credentials between people, disable multi-factor authentication, or use another person's account. Do not attempt to circumvent approval gates, rate limits, suppression lists or verification steps. Do not probe, scan or test the security of the Platform without our prior written permission, and do not reverse engineer it or use it to build a competing product.
Do not automate the Platform's interface, resell access, or give access to a third party that is not covered by your engagement.
Third-party networks
Where the Platform reaches people on a third-party network such as LinkedIn, that network's own terms apply to you in full. Breaching them is a breach of this policy, and the consequences on that network — restriction or loss of your account — are yours.
How we enforce this
We would rather fix a problem than end a relationship, so the usual sequence is a conversation first.
Where the risk is serious or immediate — a live deliverability threat, a legal exposure, a complaint from a recipient or a provider — we may suspend sending or access straight away, and tell you why as soon as we can. Repeated or deliberate breaches end the engagement under the Terms of Use.
We may also suspend where a sending provider, data provider or network requires it of us.
Reporting a problem
If you have received outreach sent through the Platform and it breaches this policy, tell us at support@brandmastersmedia.com and include the message. We will identify the client responsible, pass it on, and act where it is ours to act.
If you simply want it to stop, replying to the message is the fastest route: a reply stops the sequence on both channels for that account.
Changes
We may update this policy as laws, networks and providers change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
